Our Teachers

Ally Hamilton

Director, 13 years

Ally begins her 13th year as Director of ECDC. Previously, she worked as a Senior Education Trainer for a childcare company, supporting staff in the classroom and with professional development training. With more than 25 years in the field, Ally has worked with children from infancy to school age. She has a B.A. in Psychology from Northeastern University, with significant coursework in early childhood development. Ally is an EEC certified lead teacher for infant/toddlers anda lead teacher for preschool. She also has her Director 1 and 2 certificates.

Ally is the mother of 3 children and lives in Walpole. Growing up in a very large family played a large role in Ally's choice of career.

Heather Inferrera

Assistant Director & Pre-K Teacher 12 years

Heather wears many hats at our school: Assistant Director, Stay & Play teacher, co-teaching the Butterflies class Summer Program Director, and Vacation Programs Coordinator. Prior to joining ECDC, Heather taught Special Education. She followed that teaching Pre-K for six years. Heather earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with Special Education from Lasell College and her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Administration from Wheelock College.

Karilyn Hammer

Turtle Teacher, 14 years

Karilyn begins her 14th year as the Turtles teacher at ECDC this fall. When her oldest son was born, Karilyn left her job in equity management to raise her children. She became interested in early childhood education when he entered preschool. She went back to college and began teaching in Ashland, working at that preschool for 9 years.

Beth Ecker

Turtle Teacher, 16 years

Beth is beginning her 16th year teaching at ECDC. Before joining ECDC, Beth taught school in New Jersey and Holliston. She loves teaching here because of the children, but also because she feels the dedication of the staff and administration is amazing. She also appreciates the fact that all of ECDC’s parent volunteers go the extra mile to make sure the school is the best it can be.

Lynne Abbott

Turtle Teacher, 3 YEARS

Lynne has 8 years experience teaching preschool. She lives in Walpole with her husband, and two high school daughters. Lynne graduated from UMASS Amherst with a BFA in dance and very much believes learning through movemnet and is music is a great way to enhance all curriculum!

Jacquie Marcus

Music/Creative Movement/Stay & Play Teacher, 29 years

Jacquie is beginning her 29th year at ECDC. She has served as the music teacher, creative movemnet, and a co-teacher for Stay and Play. Jacquie came to know ECDC through her children, who are both ECDC alunni. Jacquie says her reasons for choosing ECDC for her children are still what she sees as positives today. She likes the idea of parent cooperative, where parents are integral part of the school's policies, and are welcome to add enrichment to the curriculum.

Kim Adams

Assistant Teacher, 3 years

Kim begins her 3rd year at ECDC assisting in both the Turtle class and the Butterfly class. Kim resides in Medfield with her husband and has been a stay at home mother to her 5 children for the past 25 years. Prior to raising her family, she was a Grade 1 teacher and ESL tutor in the Quincy Public School System. She holds a BS in Elementary Education and Sociology from the UMASS Boston. Kim can't think of a better environment to begin working again then with the inquistive and fun loving children at ECDC.
